Clean water isn't optional. It's essential.
Our creeks, groundwater, and wells support families, farms, and small businesses across District 2. Families rely on clean water every day. Our farmers depend on clean water to keep their land productive, and small businesses depend on it to operate. Once water quality is damaged, it's expensive -- sometimes impossible -- to restore.
Protecting clean water means:
This is about stewardship, not politics! It's about protecting the health, agriculture, and property values in District 2.

Property rights are fundamental -- but no one should have their land or quality of life damaged by irresponsible development next door. Trust me, I know.
Washington County's rural land isn't empty space waiting to be filled -- it's part of who we are. It's working land -- farms, forest, creeks, and homesteads that support families and preserve the rural way of life many of us chose. These spaces aren't obstacles to progress -- they're assets worth protecting. Once they're gone, they're gone. Forever.
I'm stepping forward as a candidate for District 2 because I believe good county leadership:

Growth is coming -- In fact, it's here! But how we plan matters. Good planning means protecting rural roads, farmland, and neighborhoods while allowing growth where infrastructure already exists.
You don't have to be anti-growth to believe growth should make sense. Growth should be earned, planned, and paid for -- not forced.
As County Commissioner, I'll fight for:
District 2 deserves a County Commissioner who simply has the courage to say "NO" when a project threatens neighborhoods, property values, or entire communities.

District 2 is one of 15 commission districts in Washington County. Located in far southwest Washington County, District 2 shares a border with Greene County on the west and Unicoi County to the South. One of the most beautiful parts of the county, District 2 is also one of the largest rural areas and home to a number of small peaceful agricultural communities, such as Limestone, Broylesville, Washington College, Chuckey, and portions of Telford, to name a few.
This campaign is not about ideology or politics as usual. It's about responsibility.
County government exists to protect essential resources and to regulate development in an orderly way that protects the environment and the general welfare of all citizens -- not gamble with them.

I'm running for County Commission District 2 to protect our rural land, clean water, and community character while supporting responsible, well-planned growth in Washington County. Your thoughts and opinions are important to me.
Give me a call or, better yet, drop me an email. I want to hear from neighbors across District 2 -- what you value, what you're worried about, and what you want protected. Better decisions start with listening.
