Tennessee is one of only 4 states in the nation without property tax limits!
Unless and until there is comprehensive Property Tax Reform at the state level, county leaders should take advantage of whatever state authorized programs are available to assist their eligible residents with rising property tax burdens.

On March 23, 2026, Washington County Commission adopted a moratorium on new data centers in the county.
Commissioners voted 13-2 to forbid the construction, operation, and permitting of data centers, including cryptocurrency mines, through June 30, 2027.

Accountability and Transparency aren't buzzwords — they're the difference between a government that serves people and one that serves itself.
